对真理是否真实怀疑;
对修行是否有果报怀疑;
“疑”是不上路,是障碍;

Happy 3-2-1 Thursday!
Quantum Growth Latest Research: Three thoughts, two quotes, and one question this week:
3 My Thoughts
1.
Identity consistency keeps persuading oneself.
“I am a fitness person.”
Then I must eat healthily.
“I lent him a book.”
Because I would not lend a book to someone I dislike,
I will increasingly like him.
“I am a person whose financial freedom is steadily increasing.”
—Oh—oh!
So every time I spend or invest, I remind myself of this.
2.
The person who learns the most in any classroom is often the teacher.
If you really want to master a topic, then “teach” it: write a book, teach a class, build a product, start a company.
The act of creating something will force you to understand it more deeply than reading ever could.
3.
Most Chinese people know that
the five hindrances “greed, anger, ignorance, pride, doubt” are major pollutants and obstacles in the path of growth.
“Doubt” is doubt toward the teacher or truth, a great obstacle.
Yet at the same time, the Diamond Sutra says all is but illusion, including scriptures and wisdom. Isn’t this contradictory?
GPT-5: The subtle difference between “doubt” and “emptiness.”
At first glance it seems contradictory, but it is actually different levels and perspectives.
1. What is “doubt”?
Doubt (one of the five hindrances) is a mindset that hinders practice and growth.
Doubting the truth is real;
Doubting whether practice has results;
Distrusting the teacher, teachings, or the path.
Such doubt leads to hesitation and stagnation, preventing the mind from settling, thus halting practice. Here, “doubt” is not rational thinking, but an inner barrier of “not daring to start, not daring to try, not daring to commit.”
2. “All is emptiness” in the Diamond Sutra
The Buddha said in the Diamond Sutra: all conditioned phenomena are like a dream, an illusion. Even the Buddha’s words, scriptures, and the concept of “wisdom” should not be clung to.
Emptiness does not mean “believe nothing,” but rather do not cling.
The Buddha’s teachings are like a raft—helping you cross the river. Once you reach the other shore, you no longer need to carry the raft.
So the Buddha does not ask you to “believe or not believe,” but to “use wisely without attachment.”
3. Doubt vs Emptiness: what’s the difference?
Doubt: You haven’t set out yet, lingering at the shore, questioning whether the raft will work, so you don’t get on. Practice stagnates.
Emptiness: You have already crossed the river; once you reach the shore, you no longer cling to the raft as something real and permanent.
Emptiness is not doubting truth, but reminding you that truth is also a skillful means, with no fixed, unchanging “entity.”
So it’s not contradictory:
At the start, cut through doubt, trust the teacher and method, and you can begin your path of growth. At a deeper stage, realize “all is emptiness,” not clinging even to truth itself.
Doubt is not setting out, an obstacle;
Emptiness is letting go at the destination, liberation.
2 Other Guides
1.
Holding and investing in Bitcoin is not about predicting its rise or fall. It is about understanding the fundamentals, taking personal responsibility, and safe storage.
A top researcher in the field wrote in 2017:
If after reading this book you recognize Bitcoin as a currency worth holding, your first “investment” should not be buying Bitcoin immediately, but spending time to learn how to safely purchase, store, and hold it.
The nature of Bitcoin means this knowledge cannot be delegated or outsourced. Anyone who truly wants to use this network must take personal responsibility.
This personal responsibility has no substitute—and that is the real investment required to enter the world of Bitcoin.
—The Bitcoin Standard, Saifedean Ammous
Thanks again to Wei Shao for guidance!
2.
Most people never reflect on why they marry, why they buy a car, why they buy a house—they just follow the program blindly. I find this terrifying.
Waking up from this program is the first step to being wealthy. It’s like in The Matrix, when you pull the device from the back of everyone’s head to awaken them.
Most people live for their parents, for their spouse, for their children, for the car, for the house, never realizing they should live for themselves. Living for yourself is not selfish at all. If a person cannot live for themselves, how could they truly live for their spouse? If my wife said to me, “I live entirely for you,” I would feel scared—because if she cannot live for herself, how could she live for me?
—The Road to Financial Freedom, Sun Yuchen, 2017
1 Question for You
If Bitcoin’s USD price is five times higher in five years, what percentage of your savings would you be willing to hold in it?
If in ten years Bitcoin fails and is replaced by a new decentralized currency, what percentage of your savings would you still be willing to hold in it today?
