Weekly Growth 3-2-1 Latest Research
(International version is at the bottom)
Cliff Fang
This week I celebrated my 32nd birthday, and I must thank my dearest companions:
—those who read silently, argue fiercely, criticize, question, encourage, and push me to write more. Your presence makes every single day fuller and calmer than the last.
Because of your selfless attention and your interest in beautiful things, we have each continued to accumulate physical gold and silver—God’s tears. Gold and silver truly are wonderful. And they will only become better.
Thanks to your generous guidance, I will soon witness that moment when my transaction is broadcast across the earth, packaged into a block, and written on-chain. That instant—when uncontrolled credit remains on the ledger of every person seeking freedom—will be my most romantic encounter with the universe.
Once again, my gratitude to all the Web3 friends and mentors who have guided me. Thank you Xiaohu, thank you Diana. Let’s keep exploring.
Happy 3-2-1 Thursday!
Quantum Growth Latest Research: three thoughts, two quotes, and one question for the week.
3 My Thoughts
1.
Do top tennis players spend most of their training time on the forehand? Or more time strengthening their weaker backhand? How is time and energy really distributed? And what does this tell us?
Answer:
Professional tennis players don’t divide their training time evenly between forehand and backhand.
They usually devote most of their energy to the forehand and serve—their core weapons—while training the weaker backhand just enough so it won’t collapse under pressure. The logic is simple: elite players win by using their strengths to dominate, not by being average at everything.
This is, in essence, the philosophy of resource allocation:
Maximize strengths = the key to winning
Weaknesses “good enough” = risk control
Balanced development = safe, but lacking impact
The same applies to life and investing:
What you are best at is the decisive factor. In line with Naval’s view, once you discover your personal “forehand”—your passion and unique strength—then keep amplifying it. That is what makes life easier, more joyful, and more abundant.
2.
To praise others is to give them inner peace.
To not expect praise from others is to give yourself inner peace.
3.
We often believe what we need is a wide road, a vast plain of possibilities, so we can choose any direction. That is true.
But sometimes what we really need is a tunnel. A tunnel narrows our choices and directs us toward a more focused path.
2 Wisdom from Others
1.
Whenever someone returns from afar, he always has a story to tell.
—Schopenhauer
2.
When someone once asked Freud for the secret to happiness, his answer was simple and clear: “Work and love.” Indeed, if one can find flow in both work and relationships, one has already taken the right step toward improving the quality of life.
—Flow, Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
1 A Question for You
If your life were a match, a game:
What is your “forehand” (your strongest skill)?
Has your “backhand” (your weakness) become “good enough,” so it doesn’t drag you down?
Would you put more resources into amplifying your strengths, or into patching your weaknesses?
